“When it rains, it pours.”

I suddenly thought of this quote while looking outside my window. I have been listening to the pitter-patter of the raindrops lately.

It’s been raining a lot. It’s not so new when your country is on the western side of the Pacific Ocean. Typhoons, storms, and monsoons come and go.

How lucky are INSPIRITS this 2023?

It’s a very special year for an INSPIRIT like me! It’s 2023 and so far this year brought me a lot of surprises!

A lot of things I experienced this year are still unbelievable to me!

• Did I just see NAM WOO HYUN thrice this year already?
• Did INFINITE just build its own company?
• Did I just meet a lot of Inspirits in Malaysia?
• Did INFINITE just drop their concert dates?
• Did INFINITE just launch a new YEOBONG version?
• and most of all is INFINITE coming back for real?

Truthfully, a lot more has happened than the questions I listed above.

It’s incredible to see these things happening! I feel like I was woken up because of the pouring of INFINITE activities that I don’t even know how to catch up!

Despite being an Inspirit (INFINITE’s fandom name) since 2011, I think I only became active in 2015. Because I already finished school, and it was the time I had a chance to watch their live concert during the Infinite Effect in Manila.

I can say I’m just a very “normal” [hey, I’m not saying others aren’t normal lol] type of fan. I just enjoy my faves music, their shows, and the activities that they do.

When the boyband had lesser activities in the past few years due to military enlistment, and their different agencies, I slowly went on hiatus too.

Most of my Inspirit friends became inactive too. It was a sad thing to see, to be honest…

Here’s what I did last year…

It was last year 2022 when finally all the INFINITE members completed their military service. As a fan, I had a wish to see them together again.

I re-opened my fangirling dedicated YT account so start rewatching their old videos and commenting on those > 10 years old videos that I miss them.

It’s quite age-revealing because of the quality of the videos. Should I give you some examples? [Videos are not mine]

When I watch some old videos, I also checked the comment section, and it’s really nice to see comments like “Who’s watching this in 2020“.

It made me feel like, there are more of us waiting for INFINITE to come back. The INFINITE members were having their solo fan meets and activities. But I really hope to see them on one stage again.

It’s crazy, but I was really determined and told myself that I would come to their concert once they are back together.

Nam Woo Hyun in Thailand and the Philippines

In January 2023, INFINITE Nam Woo Hyun who is my ultimate bias announced a fan meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since I work in Malaysia at this time, I thought it was the closest country I could possibly go to see him. Imagine how much I wanted to be there. I promised I wasn’t prepared for the expenses, but thankfully I [kinda] managed. Read more: Nam Woo Hyun Fan Meeting in Bangkok 2023 – A fangirl story.

That was the first time I ever attended a fan meeting and got interacted with Nam Woo Hyun.

I still clearly remember the moment I was on stage for the one-on-one photo session and I don’t remember looking at the camera.

I was just smiling from ear to ear because I only see this guy on screen, and now I’m getting a photo taken with him.

Then in March 2023, I went back to the Philippines for vacation when suddenly Nam Woo Hyun is performing for Miss Universe Philippines 2023!

I was like, wait what?

I was very surprised! It wasn’t a fan meeting but he was a guest performer.

That’s who I stan, guys!

Did you know? For Nam Woo Hyun, I Was Insane For Doing This!

I was one of the proudest Inspirit to have my ultimate bias performed on one of the most beautiful nights in the Philippines.

I remembered being in the fifth row away from the stage and I stood up waving my hands to him while he was singing and he noticed me! Wait, here’s a proof:

I felt the ^butterflies… omg!

I can’t believe what happened next!

For the third time, I saw Nam Woo Hyun again at the Be You 3 in Manila, Philippines.

I happened to be in the Philippines during this joint concert, so I took the chance to attend. 

For the first time, I attended a joint KPOP concert and finally had my own Japan version Yeobong [INFINITE light stick].

It was the first time I was able to fan chant to his song Hold On Me and watch him dance to this song. After the concert, I also saw my PH Inspirit friends.

It was truly an another amazing experience!

I also wanted to share with you this cool LED ceiling where they played Nam Woo Hyun’s music video while fans were gathering for the photobooth sessions and giveaways.

The thing is, my credit card is screaming for help so much. I want to cry because of how expensive this year 2023 is coming for me, but I can't even cry. 

It's not even because of the money, or the amount of work I had to do to buy things I wanted, but the longingness that I have. I can't believe this came to pass. 

I have no idea what else is in store for me, but for now, I will enjoy all of it.

This 2023 is a blessing for my Inspirit heart. I never thought that I’d ever experience attending my ultimate bias fan meeting, getting a one-on-one photo taken with him, watching him perform live in an unusual event for a KPOP idol, and being able to cheer from the multi-fandom crowds.

These were just the things I ask or wish for during my younger fangirling days.

INFINITE owns Infinite Company and their trademark

When INFINITE shared the same IG story on May 06, 2023, my heart was jumping out of joy!

Finally, they’re starting something together. INFINITE built their own company – Infinite Company, with Kim Sunggyu [The Infinite Leader] as the CEO.

It’s beyond belief to see what the Romeos [became INFINITE’s nickname since their “Last Romeo” song] have achieved despite coming from a small company when they started. I may be biased about it, but they got the best rags-to-riches story in KPOP for me.

Having their own company, Infinite Company, means they can now work together as INFINITE. They will be limitless as they can decide on their own. This also marks their dedication to their work, their passion, and the love they have for their members.

They’re true to their name – INFINITE.

Inspirit Celebrated 13th Year INFINITE’s Anniversary

INFINITE celebrated its 13th Year Anniversary on June 09, 2023. As I was in Malaysia, I joined MY Inspirits in this grand celebration.

I remember finally re-opening my Twitter account and seeing the post from an MY Inspirit inviting other Inspirit to join in a staycation to fangirl on this day.

Lucky for me it falls on my rest day. We played INFINITE songs while waiting for the live stream to start. It was a memorable experience for me because it was also my first time joining a staycation for the purpose of fangirling activities.

The day after, I got a chance to help prepping the giveaways for the Cups Sleeve event that they organized for the following day.

I had so many first-time experiences, and this is one of them!

Just on a small side note, we had a video where we cheered on this event that our CEOnim Sunggyu has seen. He was delighted to see that there are Inspirits in Malaysia waiting for INFINITE to come.

I wish for it wholeheartedly, and if they come, it would be amazing to be there.

COMEBACK AGAIN 2023 Solo Concerts

On July 7, 2023, INFINITE announced their 2023 solo concert, ‘Comeback Again‘. I screamed as soon as I see this. Like OMG! For real?

Please allow me to just add this for intensity… “Calling the Attention of INFINITE! Please come to South East Asia!“

I don’t have much to share about the upcoming concert yet. I just hope I would be able to attend this to fulfill what I had crazily told myself before.

INFINITE got Yeobong Version 3

It was the day I flew back to the Philippines and the plane just landed in Manila, Philippines and as a proud local that does not need to use a roaming sim, I immediately switched on my mobile data and get on Facebook while the plane is still taxiing.

Then I saw INFINITE had new merchs and got a new Yeobong version.

It’s really pretty! This is the 3rd version.

Do you know why I am very excited about this?

Well, I never owned the first and second versions. They were already rare and they are being sold at an expensive price.

Getting the newest version seems to be a good idea.

While waiting in front of the baggage carousel for my checked baggage, I was busy looking for where to get the Yeobong.

It’s funny because I have never been able to exit the airport yet, I already had expenses coming.

Did I place an order? Yes.

Did I pay for it? Well, not yet until the next day.

I am not sure if I got to secure one since the light stick got sold out shortly. I wish I could really truly hold it in my hand and wave it really well on their future concerts.

Anticipating the INFINITE Comeback 2023

Now the most awaited moment, the moment of truth, the highlight of all… insert drum roll, is the INFINITE COMEBACK for real?

YES! Coming really really really soon on July 31, 2023!

With all that, it must be true that “When it rains, it pours“.
